The community was built in the 1970s. There are a handful of builders credited with the construction, the most notable is Boise Cascade.

The single family homes in Sugarland Run are contemporary in design, with varying exterior elevations.

Many have garages, some have a basement level but the majority of the homes are 2 level on a concrete slab, with no basement.

There are also a selection of rambler style homes with all the square footage on 1 level.

The typical floor plan features a semi open concept, with central kitchens, cathedral ceilings and large living rooms.

Over the years, owners have updated the homes with various finishes and other touches.

The homes have nice fenceable back yards as well.

Townhomes

The townhomes in Sugarland Run are compact but very functional, and are sought after both as a primary homes and investment properties.

On the exterior, they are mostly vinyl and many have a small balcony off the owner’s bedroom, others have a bump out on that level.

Sugarland Run has a very large pool, olympic sized with a generous number of lap lanes for exercise and the swim team.

There is also a diving well and a kiddie pool. There is plenty of room to spread out to get some sun on summer days off.

The community center, Lakeside Lodge, is a striking and large modern building that is available to rent out by residents for events, meetings and more.

• Boating & Fishing

Willow Lake is a central feature of Sugarland Run.

The lake can be fished, and some residents even use non-motorized boats to get out on the water. The trail system goes around the lake which is a perfect spot for a peaceful walk.

• Trails

Sugarland Run has over 26 miles of paved trails within the neighborhood. This is great news if you are a runner, biker, hiker or just enjoy getting out for a walk.

The trails are marked and also have lots of playgrounds to stop at for families with children.

•Shopping Center

Sugarland Run Square is within the bounds of the neighborhood, and has convenience stores, restaurants, a gas station and other small shops.

For many homes, it is easily walkable via the trails.

There are 2 elementary schools within the neighborhood, which is very convenient for getting kids to school.

The middle and high school that have traditionally served the community are also adjacent to Sugarland Run for easy access.

Sugarland Run HOA is active, and both the Activities Committee and residents host various functions the year including movie nights, parties, classes, music and other fun things to do for all ages.

This area of Loudoun is extremely convenient to a large range of stores. There are big box stores, grocery store selections, Dulles Town Center, home improvement stores, small shops, specialty stores and much more.

Most shopping centers and stores also have easy parking.

Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun Campus is also just to the south of Sugarland Run, making it walkable & bikeable for many residents.

Rt. 7 is easily accessible, and from here you can get to some other major roads in the area that make it convenient to get around from the neighborhood to different parts of Northern VA and even DC & Maryland.

If you take the metro, you can drive or take a bus to a couple of different silver line stops, either in Reston or Ashburn.
