Finding A Townhome In Courthouse

Some neighborhoods have a huge amount of homes, and thus large “turnover” or homes being sold each year.

Old courthouse with brick and slate roof.
The old historic courthouse of Fairfax County. The new courthouse is not far.

Courthouse square in Fairfax VA is the exact opposite. Only a few sales occur per year, on average. On a very busy year, 7-8 and on a not so busy year only 1-2.

Because of this low inventory, prices tend to go up in strong markets because of good old supply and demand.

The location is also great. Tucked back right off of the Old town Fairfax City district. Old Town was revitalized in the early 2000s, and continues to add improvements.

If you are looking to buy one of these townhomes, it will take some extra work and patience.
